In my photography I attempt to capture images that express the essence of things and the timeless.
I am interested in the natural landscape as an abstraction of reality. I print in monochrome because it
abstracts reality and allows me to concentrate on light, form and texture, leaving content for the viewer.

Printmaking is as important to me as seeing and discovery. Most of my work is done with hand made
photographic processes, including carbon transfer and platinum and palladium. I also make color prints
 with archival pigment inks.  I share my knowledge and experience in photography through exhibitions,
 publications and workshops.
